    Responsibilities

    REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care and must have completed a Physician Assistant education program
     
    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:  
    • Provide diagnostic and preventive health care services under physician supervision
    • Take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order lab tests and x-rays, and make diagnoses
    • Treat minor injuries (suturing, splinting, casting, etc.)
    • Record progress notes and instruct/counsel patients
    • Manage medical supplies
     
    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS, TRAITS, CHARACTERISTICS & EXPERIENCE:
    • Must have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam and be ER trained for at least 2 years
    • Possess good medical teamwork and be thorough
    • Have good clinical skills and physiological knowledge
    • Be sympathetic and genuinely concerned for patients to promote and maintain health
