• Health System Provider Relationship Manager

  • Overview

    The Health System Provider Relationship Manager will be a field and office based position. Individuals employed in this position will be responsible for enhancing CityMD’s relationships with Health System providers in the Metro New York City/NJ areas.  This individual will work with Health System’s management to effectively communicate CityMD’s value proposition and roll out support initiatives to their community providers to increase awareness and reach of CityMD’s services. This individual will act as the primary contact and support for the community providers as well as look to grow the network of referring physicians in new areas within the Health System Network. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to forge meaningful relationships with providers and their staff. The candidate must have the ability to influence others and be able to work effectively and collaboratively within a multi-stakeholder environment.


    • Identify and develop new relationships with providers within the Health System Network who will work to refer inbound patients to CityMD Urgent Care site
    • Maintain and strengthen these relationships through ongoing communication and periodic visits
    • Build awareness and educate physicians and their staff about CityMD services with the goal of increasing referrals to CityMD and facilitating expedited scheduling of referrals from CityMD to the community provider’s office
    • Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Service, Operations and Strategy, and Marketing to identify market opportunities within the Health System Network
    • Effectively communicate the CityMD value for all services offered as created and standardized by Marketing and Director of Sales & Service
    • Act as point of contact and support for community providers and communicate “asks” and “issues” to the appropriate parties
    • Analyze data to measure progress and uncover opportunities
    • Partner with Operations to resolve issues and review protocols as needed
    • Understand large account management principles to sell services in health systems down through healthcare provider groups
    • Participate in special events including but not limited to health fairs, promotional events and conferences


    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Excellent sales and communication skills
    • Knowledge of the healthcare space, including the relationships between patients and providers
    • Working knowledge of the hospital systems in the NY/NJ area as well as major health insurers
    • 4+ years of experience in medical and/or pharmaceutical sales is a plus
    • 2+ years of experience in hospital focused sales is a plus
    • Strong understanding of all services offered at CityMD and the ability to effectively communicate these services with expertise to providers and their staff
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills  
    • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit who takes a proactive approach to business operations 
    • Positive attitude and ability to project this around others 
    • Must exhibit passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve 
    • Ability to successfully multi-task
    • Strong time management skills 
    • High attention to detail 
    • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce)  
    • Strong computer skills (knowledge of a PC, Microsoft Office programs) 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment 

    Additional Information

    Health System Provider Relationship Manager will report directly to Director of Sales & Service who may modify these responsibilities and activities to suit the needs of the team goals relating to client acquisition and to any adjustments in scope of service.
