    The Employer Relationship Director will be a field and office based position. Individuals employed in this position will work alongside the Payer Team and be responsible for establishing and enhancing CityMD’s relationships with Employer Groups in the Metro New York City/NJ areas.  This individual will understand the dynamics of CityMD’s Payer relationships, and work with a Payer’s liaisons to effectively communicate CityMD’s value proposition and roll out support initiatives to their employer groups and member patients to increase reach of CityMD’s services. This individual will act as the daily field contact and support for the employer groups as well as look for opportunities to grow new and return visits by member patients within their operating network. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to forge meaningful business relationships.  The candidate must have the ability to influence others and be able to work effectively and collaboratively within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with employer groups and benefits brokers to enhance patient visit growth at CityMD Urgent Care sites
    • Maintain and strengthen these relationships through ongoing communication and periodic visits to provide frequent touch points, support, as well as report metrics and data
    • Build awareness and educate employer groups about CityMD services with the goal of increasing referrals to CityMD and maximizing referral management services to meet the needs of the payers and employers
    • Collaborate with the SVP of Strategy, Director of Sales & Service, Operations and Strategy, and Marketing to identify market opportunities within the payer and employer network
    • Work collaboratively with Occupational Medicine and Employer teams to leverage programs, data and resources within payer and employer networks
    • Effectively communicate the CityMD value for all services offered as created and standardized by Strategy, Marketing and Director of Sales & Service
    • Act as daily field point of contact and support for employers and communicate “asks” and “issues” to the appropriate parties
    • Effectively analyze data to measure progress and uncover opportunities
    • Partner with Operations to resolve issues and review protocols as needed
    • Understand large account management principles to sell services in the payer landscape down through employer groups to the patients
    • Participate in special events including but not limited to health fairs, promotional events and conferences

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or related background required
    • Excellent sales and communication skills
    • Working knowledge of the healthcare space, major health insurers in the NY/NJ area as well as the employer groups and self-insured marketplace
    • 6+ years of experience in medical and/or pharmaceutical sales
    • 2+ years of experience in payer focused sales
    • Previous marketing experience preferred but not required
    • Exceptional large account management skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Analytical capability to understand health economic data as well as payer contracting terms
    • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit who takes a proactive approach to business operations
    • Positive attitude and ability to project this around others
    • Must exhibit passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve
    • Strong time management skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Frequent travel by car and public transportation is a requirement

     

    Additional Information

    Employer Relationship Director will report directly to the SVP of Sales and Marketing who may modify these responsibilities and activities to suit the needs of the team goals relating to client support and to any adjustments in scope of service.
